Call Blocking Information
If you choose to add Caller I.D. to your current service,
you will also be able to activate per call blocking, free
of charge. Per call blocking allows a customer to block
his/her telephone number and name from the receiving party
by dialing a code before the call is placed. To activate
per call blocking, simply dial *67, wait until the dial
tone steadies, and then place your call. The receiving line
will receive a message of private, anonymous, etc. This
action must be performed each time you wish to block your
name and number.
Per call blocking will be made available to all customers,
regardless of features added to your account, free of charge.
If you do not have Caller I.D. on your telephone line, you
may still block your number before each call, using the
same procedure above. Before placing a call, dial *67, wait
until the dial tone steadies, and place you call.
Per line blocking will be made available, free of charge,
to all non-published customers. Per line blocking provides
automatic blocking of the calling name and number on all
calls. A non-published customer does not have to dial a
code, all calls are automatically blocked. To deactivate
the block on a per call basis, dial *82 before dialing the
telephone number. You must dial *82 each time you make a
call and want your name and telephone number to appear to
the party you are calling.
